Friends, Brothers, Sisters We know many of you were not privileged to attend World Conference this year so I would like to share some thoughts about the experience. The Mission Centre Presidency team was fortunate to travel and stay together at conference which fostered an opportunity to discuss lots of outstanding issues. That alone was a blessing. One can never truly share how an experience touches us, but I will attempt to portray the essence of my experience at conference. For me, World Conference is a time when our enduring principles of the worth of all persons and of unity in diversity is clearly evident. Walking into the Auditorium and seeing people from many cultures and knowing that they share the same faith story is so uplifting. Although this conference was smaller, we still had representation from all over the world. And many were dressed in their cultural style. I heard many languages but mostly heard the language of love... Click button below to continue reading Plan now to attend World Conference 2025 May 30 – June 6 in Independence, MO. Conference is an experience that will enrich your spiritual journey in surprising ways whether you attend as a delegate or a guest.
World Conference resolutions for discussion must be passed by Mission Centres at a Mission Centre Conference and must be submitted to World Church by Mission Centres one year in advance of the gathering. Submissions should address significant issues that would concern the entire church and propose actions that are clear, readily implementable, and directly address concerns raised. If your congregation wishes to submit a resolution for legislation, the deadline to submit to Canada East Mission is April 5, 2024. A Mission Centre Special Conference would then be held to consider any possible items. International Headquarters will provide an opportunity to learn more about drafting resolutions at an online gathering to be held in August. Watch for details coming soon. Click above to access registration form. Send completed form to Doug Bolger via email or regular mail. Don't forget to send your deposit via e-transfer or cheque!

Be courageous and visionary, believing in the power of just a few vibrant witnesses to transform the world. Be assured that love will overcome the voices of fear, division, and deceit.Understand that the road to transformation travels both inward and outward. The road to transformation is the path of the disciple. Delegate Selection Pastors have received instructions for electing delegates to represent each congregation. Discussions will be held on-line October 17 and 18 regarding resolutions to be presented at conference. Pre-legislative discussions help build democracy by encouraging all stakeholders (that's you!) to ask questions and give comments on proposed legislation. Everyone benefits when greater perspective is shared. Important background information will be presented to help prepare delegates for voting. Each person has the opportunity to affect how legislation is processed and seeing the best solutions developed. When discussions take place prior to the business meeting, voting members have time ahead of conference day to discern what makes the most sense. Business meetings can be lengthy and tedious at the best of times, but with effective pre-legislative sessions, they can be greatly streamlined. Delegates are strongly encouraged to choose one session (or both) to attend. Presentation of Reports (on-line) Reports from various Mission Centre associated groups/organizations will be presented in two on-line ZOOM meetings in the first week of October. Folks will have an opportunity to attend two different sessions from among five presenters each night. Tuesday, October 3rd @ 7:00 pm
