Creating Connection
Creating Connection is a network of more than twenty inclusive communities across Canada committed to sharing authentic conversation and promoting meaningful activities. Our communities engage in a variety of activities, including: coffee & conversation, adult colouring, drum circles, mindfulness meditation, yoga, lifelong learning & lectures, and knitting circles. All are welcome regardless of background. Participants include individuals from diverse religious traditions, many who consider themselves “spiritual but not religious,” as well as those who identify as agnostic or atheist. We are LGBTQ+ affirming. |
Community Place+
Community Place+ pioneers innovative programs that promote building authentic relationships and cultivate deeper meaning in peoples' lives. Each of our programs and initiatives are centred on creating meaningful encounters in one's faith journey. |
Sionito Group of Charities
The Sionito Group of Charities contributes to the Canadian expression of civil society and social entrepreneurship by developing intentional, inclusive, compassionate communities of mutual support and encouragement with the goal of decreasing the impact of impoverishment on, and increasing the life-ability of, each member of that community. |
Zerin Development Corporation
Zerin Development Corporation (Zerin) is a charitable non-profit developer and manager of affordable housing units in Ontario. Incorporated in 1977 and sponsored by Community of Christ faith group, Zerin is organized to relieve poverty by providing accommodation for people living on low income. We believe that mixing tenants on low income (paying rent-geared-to-income) with tenants paying market rent, is beneficial for all tenants and for the community as a whole. |
Canada Peace/Justice Committee
Our belief in the sacredness of all life calls us to engage in the world, joining with all others who endeavour to raise the basic level of well-being of all. The Canadian Peace and Justice Committee of the Community of Christ (Canada) promotes our guiding principles on peace and justice issues, focusing on some primary Canadian-specific issues that effect such well-being, and where possible, providing resources and taking actions to help address those issues. |
World Accord
World Accord brings people together. It tells the stories of hard-working poor people in different places around the world, and provides a way for Canadians to engage with them by supporting grassroots, community-based projects to improve their (and our) well-being. |
Encounter World Religions Centre
In our increasingly diverse world, understanding our neighbours is essential. Encounter World Religions is a unique educational organization that promotes religious literacy through educational, cultural and spiritual encounters with the world's religious communities. |
The MOM Project
Helping mothers provide their own breast milk to their small and sick babies. The MOM Project provides low cost rentals of hospital grade breast pumps to mothers with babies in Calgary area Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) so that all mothers have the opportunity to provide breast milk to their child. |
Sunstone Education Foundation
Community of Christ partners each spring with the Sunstone Education Foundation to host a public symposium in Toronto with panels and presentations on the topics of history, culture, and current issues in the Restoration movement. Sunstone Toronto brings together members of different faith traditions within the Restoration movement to build connections, share insights, and chart the path forward for our members and communities. |
