MISSION CONFERENCE
This year, our CWM Conference was held on 4 main sites: Chilliwack, Regina, Calgary and Edmonton from where our Mission Centre Co-Presidents and the Creating Connection Director for Canada West joined. Our theme this year was “Courage to Act” and took place as a hybrid event. We had Pre-legislative sessions & discussions during the week leading to Mission Conference. Starting this year all Community of Christ members in the Canada West Mission Centre were able to express their voice and vote in our conference, instead of the delegate-based system of previous years. The agenda included the presentation of the 2024 budget, internal audit report, sustaining of CWM officers, mission appointments, updates on the Canadian church activities and a report from World Conference. The weekend also included a virtual Campfire where we sang, laughed and had fun and a Communion Service for all congregations in Canada West. |
