SAVE THE DATE CEM Annual Mission Conference October 21 & 22 In-Person at Woodfield Congregation (615 Colborne Street, London) and Online Theme: "Courage to Live God's Will" Gather with us to raise our voices in song, prayer, celebration, on important business matters and in worship!
Focus Scripture D&C 161:3c,d Be patient with one another, for creating sacred community is arduous and even painful. But it is to loving community such as this that each is called. Be courageous and visionary, believing in the power of just a few vibrant witnesses to transform the world. Be assured that love will overcome the voices of fear, division, and deceit.Understand that the road to transformation travels both inward and outward. The road to transformation is the path of the disciple. Delegate Selection Pastors have received instructions for electing delegates to represent each congregation. Congregational business meetings will take place to elect delegates. Please contact Melissa Freer for further information. Registration Everyone including delegates, ex-officios, and guests, must register in order to receive all pertinent information including documents, finalized schedule and any zoom links. Please be sure to click the button below to register. Pre-Legislative Sessions
Discussions will be held on-line October 17 and 18 regarding resolutions to be presented at conference. Pre-legislative discussions help build democracy by encouraging all stakeholders (that's you!) to ask questions and give comments on proposed legislation. Everyone benefits when greater perspective is shared. Important background information will be presented to help prepare delegates for voting. Each person has the opportunity to affect how legislation is processed and seeing the best solutions developed. When discussions take place prior to the business meeting, voting members have time ahead of conference day to discern what makes the most sense. Business meetings can be lengthy and tedious at the best of times, but with effective pre-legislative sessions, they can be greatly streamlined. Delegates are strongly encouraged to choose one session (or both) to attend. Presentation of Reports (on-line) Reports from various Mission Centre associated groups/organizations will be presented in two on-line ZOOM meetings in the first week of October. Folks will have an opportunity to attend two different sessions from among five presenters each night. Tuesday, October 3rd @ 7:00 pm
