Prison ministry is an area of ministry not everyone is comfortable with.
 
Woodfield has been partnered with the Mennonite Center of Kitchener for the past four years providing monthly welcome home hampers of cleaning supplies to inmates upon their release and reestablishment in their own apartments in London.
 
"There have been some tangible blessings that our congregation has received with thank you notes from former in-mates and the probation department employees over the years. This past year, one lady who we provided a welcome home hamper of supplies had moved into a larger living accommodation and was able to retrieve all her belongings that she had stored in plastic bins", reports Ron Rowbottom of Woodfield Congregation.
 
She requested that the probation office donate her 8 plastic bin totes to our congregation so we could use them to provide hampers to others.
