**Some changes this year**

  • Friday supper is the LAST meal of camp this year (NO Saturday lunch, please plan accordingly)
  • Our closing worship service will be FRIDAY evening

These changes will allow us to focus our last morning together preparing the facilities and grounds we love for the next people using the space.

This brings us to our next important point.

  • EVERY person is to sign up for a final day clean up duty in addition to KP/Washroom/Shower Cleaning duties.

How can we show our Sr. High young people how much they mean to us by worshipfully preparing the space for them? This is a vital part of our shared reunion experience and every helping hand is needed.

Please help us by signing up for your “duties” online before the start of Reunion at https://noronto.ca/dutysignup . There are tabs at the bottom of the online signup window for K.P., Washroom, Shower, and Last Day Clean Up, as well as optional sign ups for helping with Food Prep. and the World Accord Breakfast.

COVID-19

How will you protect your precious neighbour that sits beside you at Reunion? This personal responsibility may look like:

  • Updating your COVID-19 vaccination by receiving any boosters that are available.
  • If you aren’t vaccinated, getting tested for COVID-19 no more than two days prior to arriving at camp.
  • If you are feeling even a little bit ill, deciding not to attend Reunion.
  • Isolating for 5 days prior to coming to camp, regardless of your vaccination status.
  • Wearing a mask while indoors to avoid spreading illness.
Ensuring good hygiene through regular hand washing; coughing or sneezing into an elbow or sleeve.

M. Doreen Campbell
1927 – 2022

It is with deep sadness that we must say goodbye for now, to our precious Mom. She slipped away on Wednesday, May 25 at Fergus GMCH in the arms of her loved ones. She has gone to join the love of her life, our father, Willis (1999). Forever cherished by their five children: Larry (2020) & Wendy,
Nadine & Gary, Darryl & Bonnie, Cheryl & Dean, and Alita.

She also leaves behind 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Mom’s favourite times were spent with her family. Our parents were amazing role models, both being active in their local community and in Community of Christ. Mom has been a good and faithful servant and will continue to be in the hearts of those who knew her.

We shall never forget the numerous acts of kindness from so many that played a role in her life, some for a long time and others only briefly. We shall also be forever grateful to the doctors and nursing staff at the hospital. To all of them we say thank you.

We will miss our dear sweet mother more than words can ever convey.

A private family gathering to honour Doreen’s life will take place in the near future, after which, she will be laid to rest beside our father at Belsyde Cemetery in Fergus, Ontario.

June 2022 Financial Update

6/1/2022

Picture
The Presiding Bishopric has released the June 2022 Financial Update. In this update, you’ll find important information about mission tithes, Bridge of Hope Tithes, and ongoing efforts to fund services and ministries.A few highlights:
  • Thanks to the generosity of many, Worldwide Mission Tithes in 2021 totaled $12,850,000, exceeding the goal range.
  • As of 31 December 2021, the church had raised $96.9 million toward the $120 million Bridge of Hope retirement responsibility goal.
  • Investment account minimum balances in place to meet the Bridge of Hope retirement responsibility were reduced in many fields based on progress as of 30 April 2022 toward achieving the retirement responsibility target. The Central and South America field and the Presiding Bishopric have exceeded their targets. This is good news as these additional funds will be needed to offset the amount over the $120 million needed to fully fund the retirement responsibility.
  • World Church leaders continue to explore ways to fund services and worldwide ministries including charging fees for services and resources and growing the endowments.
  • Mission Tithes are the primary way mission is funded both locally and globally. Connecting with contributors under the age of 50 remains a priority.
  • On 26 May 2022, the World Church Finance Board approved the 2023 Worldwide Mission Budget assumptions for 2023 budget planning.
  • The church continues to support humanitarian efforts in Ukraine and the surrounding area and is holding funds to help re-establish households when it is safe for members to return. You can help through eTithing in the USA or online in Canada and Australia.
