Apostle Art Smith invites you to add your voice to a Canada-wide Zoom conference, sharing the things we love about Community of Christ and our hopes for the future as we look forward to a time past the lockdowns. Please join us on Saturday, May 15, 2021, for a conversation with your church family. Hear testimonies from the rich tapestry of voices who experience Community of Christ in Canada. Join topical break-out rooms to chat about all the interesting ways individuals experience the church and further its mission. Add your voice to the tapestry! Plan to participate in this time of intentional reflection and discernment. Enjoy the community, collaboration, and cross-Canada friendship.

In recent days, the news about the spread of COVID in India has been alarming. People are dying because of shortages of bottled oxygen and hospital beds or because they couldn’t get a COVID-19 test. India’s official average of newly confirmed cases per day has soared from over 65,000 on April 1 to about 370,000, and deaths per day have officially gone from over 300 to more than 3,000.

​Share communion with disciples and seekers from around this world. Christian Vago will give our communion message on the theme “Become My Disciples” from Montreal, Quebec. Nadine Manson of Brampton, Ontario, will teach our Peace Lesson and Bruce Nelson of San Rafael, California, will lead our Disciples Generous Response. Shirley Smith will offer the Invocation from Calgary, Alberta, and Susan Webber will lead our Call to Worship from La Conner, Washington. Linda Hardy of Fort Madison, Iowa, will read our Lectionary scripture. Communion Blessings will be read by Noelle Gaffka of Mount Pleasant, Michigan, and Zilphia Martin III of Southfield, Michigan.

The Beyond the Walls Choir will premiere hymn CCS 256 “Tenderly, Tenderly, Lead Thou Me On,” and will also sing CCS 364 “Lord, Make Us Instruments.”

Our inclusive Beyond the Walls church service will take place on Sunday, May 2nd, at 12:00 pm EDT.
