Intrigued? Then why not save the date and plan to spend a couple days at Hills Of Peace.
We will save a piece of pie for you!

August 29 - September 1 - CWM Young Adult Retreat
Ages: 18-45 Theme: Here and Now
The world feels heavy right now, doesn’t it? Every headline screams at us. Social media tells us how to feel about everything—who to love, who to hate, what side to pick. It’s loud. It’s exhausting. And honestly, sometimes it feels like everything is broken.
So what do we do with that? How do we hold on to what matters when the ground keeps shifting? That’s what this weekend is about. Here and Now. It’s about stepping away from the noise for a couple of days and asking real questions together:
Do my values line up with my actions?
Am I living in a way that feels true and authentic?
How do we show up for each other in ways that actually help?
You don’t need to have answers. You don’t need to have your life together. You just need to show up and be willing to connect with others asking the same types of questions.
We’ll share meals, conversations, and space to breathe. We’ll laugh. Maybe cry a little. Our guest minister, Rev. Dr. Linda Stanbridge from Michigan, will join us with stories and wisdom for these messy, beautiful, uncertain times.
If you’ve been longing for something real—connection that doesn’t require perfection - this is for you. Come. Just as you are.

At Junior Camp, hope is more than a feeling—it’s something we do with our hands and our hearts. It’s movement and messiness and moments that matter.
Each day at Hills of Peace, Junior Campers (ages 7–11, going into grade 2 through grade 6) will choose their own adventure. From nature walks to water games, from campfire songs to crafting creations, campers will explore what it means to live out “Hope in Action”—together.
They’ll be guided by joyful, caring leaders and surrounded by the beauty of the land, where God’s spirit moves through every tree and painted sky. They'll play hard, laugh loud, and discover that being hopeful means being brave, being kind, and being exactly who God made them to be.
At night, they’ll rejoin their families for Family Camp and rest in their own cabins, wrapped in the safety of love and belonging. But during the day? It’s their time to shine, explore, and connect.
There’s something sacred that happens at camp. It reminds us we belong to God and to one another. And for our youngest campers, that sacred thing just might look like building birdhouses, going for a swim, and learning to lead with love.
Come. Choose adventure. Choose action. Choose hope. Director: Gwyn Beer Registration: use the form for Family Camp
August 2-7 - Family Camp
Theme: Choose Hope
There’s something sacred that happens at camp.
Maybe it’s the cool morning air that’s been carried across the prairies. Maybe it’s the way the lake holds the sky, or the laughter around the dinner tables, or the stories shared under the tent by the canteen. Whatever it is, it reminds us—we belong to God and to one another.
This summer at Hills of Peace from August 2 - 7, we invite you to Choose Hope. In a world that often normalizes cynicism or apathy, here we choose a different way. A hopeful way. One that makes room for joy and rest and renewal.
Family Camp is for all ages and stages of life—young kids with muddy knees, tired grown-ups needing grace, elders with stories to tell. You’ll be welcomed by love, inspired by hope, and invited to share as a community in worship, play, learning, and stillness. Whether it’s your first time or your fiftieth, you’ll find a space where you are seen, known, and needed.
This year the junior camp kids will head off for their own daily adventures as part of their separate camp experience, returning for rest with families each evening. Throughout the week you’ll have space to reconnect—with yourself, your people, and the God who’s still speaking.
Come. Choose Hope. There’s a place for you here. Director: Marian Thompson Guest Ministry: Apostle Shannon McAdam
Bring your family and join us July 19–26 at the beautiful Samish Island Campground for a week of connection, reflection, and fun in the sun! We’ll explore the theme Choose Hope with guest ministry from Kahealani Dan Faatuarai Drollet.

Follow the rhythm of nature, and your own soul.
As we emerge from the embrace of Silence together, you may discover the echoes of Silence accompanying you on your journey home and beyond. This Silence within becomes a touchstone we can return to anytime, even amidst the busyness of our lives.
Theme: Clarity Guest minister: Parker Johnson Director: Dan Esch [email protected] or 306-540-2359 Join us September 13 - 15, 2024, at Hills of Peace Campground for a weekend filled with nature, friendship, good food, and clarity.
About the Theme We are living in a time of chaotic information overload that is wreaking havoc on our mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health. It’s tearing us apart, and it’s testing our relationships, faith, and affiliations in new, difficult ways. Our theme was chosen with intention in order to provide attendees with much-needed respite, focus, and an opportunity to recenter.
What to Expect Clarity - despite its definition - is subjective, unique to each person. What one of us finds clear and concise might confuse someone else. The purpose of this theme will be for attendees to achieve clarity both together and individually. We’ll take time in community to take stock of our lives, the church, and our world. Then, we’ll turn our attention toward the future and organize our thoughts in ways that might help us to articulate our role(s) as well as healthy boundaries in building a better tomorrow.
