In the aftermath of Easter, disciples contemplated the meaning of Jesus’ ministry, the unexpected way he fulfilled the role of the Messiah, and the meaning of the Kingdom he heralded. Luke 24:1-12 tells the story of two disciples traveling along the Road to Emmaus, who encounter a companion they do not immediately recognize. Jackie Mueller brings our message this week as she invites us to join these disciples in their journey. Beyond the Walls – The Road to Emmaus.
