Young Adult Retreat

Dates: Aug 21 - 23
Location: Hills of Peace - Hwy 600, Capt Ayre Lake, AB
Camper Ages: 18-45
Theme: Happiness Project

The world feels heavy right now, doesn’t it? Every headline screams at us. Social media tells us how to feel about everything—who to love, who to hate, what side to pick. It’s loud. It’s exhausting. And honestly, sometimes it feels like everything is broken.

You don’t need to have answers. You don’t need to have your life together. You just need to show up and be willing to connect with others asking the same types of questions.

The weekend will begin with board games on Friday evening. Saturday's theme class will be lead by our guest minister Vonda DenBoer, Director of Camping & Campground Sustainability, and we will have waterfront time at the Capt Ayre lake. Other highlights are an “expression dinner” where participants wear or display something of significant personal meaning; campfire and star gazing.

Interspersed throughout that will be several sessions  led by Lew Shepardson. We're going to discuss the theme of “Faith or Fear”. Don't be scared, have some faith and come to men's retreat. Young at Heart Retreat

Dates: Sep 21 - 25
Location: Noronto - 59 Noronto Rd, Monetville ON P0M 2K0
Theme: Power of Listening

Quite a few years ago, an ambitious senior in Northern Ontario decided it was time for the aging folks in the church to have their own retreat/camp! And so it began — first called the Seniors' Retreat, later called the Retirees Retreat, and recently renamed YOUNG AT HEART!

This year's event takes place September 21–25 at beautiful Camp Noronto on the shores of Lake Nipissing. It promises to be a week filled with a good balance of laughter, learning, and leisure time. The food is amazing (thanks to our fantastic cook, Bonnie Bolger) and includes a Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings. Each evening, a crowd gathers to play "Pass the Ace," and if you choose not to play, you can simply sit back and listen to the roars of laughter. Several new events and activities have been added to this year's schedule. Come and enjoy renewing friendships and creating new ones.
