Following extensive discussion of the recommendations resulting from the Canadian National Conference in June, 2012, the Council of Twelve and the First Presidency have created interim policies regarding same-sex/gender orientation, marriage, and ordination for Canada. The interim policies will be implemented in Canada beginning June 1, 2013.
